FreeRice Challenge

You are lucky as you can have delicious meals, both healthy and unhealthy. But think about all the children living in poverty who don't have enough food. We are going to help them through our FreeRice Challenge. The website FreeRice allows you to earn grains of rice to feed the hungry while practising your English vocabulary and grammar. For every correct answer, 10 grains of rice are donated to World Food Programme to feed the hungry. World Food Programme is the world’s largest humanitarian agency, feeding on average 100 million people every year. This time we are going to compete with the partner countries. The teams compete for the FreeRice championship from Friday (31st March) to Saturday (8th April). The objectives? Learn English, raise rice and beat global hunger! We will see which school is the most active in helping people in need. The winners will be awarded the title of 'Helping Elves'. The results will be announced on 9th April (Sunday).
